A few final pics of Budapest before heading literally for the hills in a few days! This pic is taken over near the shopping centre here near the Nugayti railway station in the middle of Budapest.
I'm not going to describe each picture, but they were all taken within a 10 minute walk area around this park area. I was really amazed at the beauty all around me. Different to Prague and Vienna, but I think there is really a bigger variety of really beautiful buildings here in Budapest.
Vienna is simply elegant, no doubt about that. Prague is Bohemian, really ancient and a bit "backward", but so romantic with it's narrow, winding streets and Budapest is the real surprise...
It's beautiful, old looking (most of the buildings were bombed in WW2 and were rebuilt after the war in the original images before bombing). It is thoroughly modern in a lot of ways and you can feel the vibes of excitement of a new life here.
So different to both Vienna and Prague...
