Our Slovenian Pub crawl! Well, we did go to one pub and stayed there, then crawled home!
This is Miha, the Guard of the Gates for Recalcitrant Wayward Women!
He said to be good, don't damage the trees and stay away from the pubs. Just go for a walk in the rain!
Too lovely for words...
We didn't do this...honestly!
A lady said the news reported that the 4 day snow storm caused more damage by fallen trees than all the trees falling over he past 50 yrs! Some storm this one! ... And this was just in town where all the trees are pruned and taken care of. Imagine the damage in the forests!
So, we walked around the area a bit, just absorbing the beauty of this pristine environment.
Through the trees, the Castle on the Rock!
Just so magical...
Then we headed off for another area of town we had not yet seen...
...and ended up in a pub about 100 mtrs from our accommodation.
How good is this? 1.90 Euro for the pint!
The gorgeous barmaid...Mimi, who looked after us so well. Heaps of peanuts, pretzels and 2 amazing pints of Slovenian beers for a total of under 4 Euros for each of us! Get yourselves to Slovenia, Lake Bled in particular and the Tiger Bar!
Some other folk at the local pub, called The Tiger... ("Tigger" in our way of pronunciation. )
Our intrepid leader is calling...so bottoms up girls!
Oh dear, Val...what will Robyn say? This is your second one of these!
Mine had nothing in it...hehe, by now anyways!
Then, to get past the Gate Keeper of Wayward Women, we had to do some encouraging actions to gain participation!
Then, after a suitable time lapse, he gave in and let us into our digs! We had a great time to-day in Bled! Thanks to all the lovely, friendly, English speaking Slovenian people we met in our amazing 5 day stay in this awesome pristine wonderland!
