Our last day to complete things we couldn't do before this or hadn't yet done!
The Petřín Lookout Tower (Czech: Petřínská rozhledna) is a 63.5 metre high steel framework tower in Prague, which strongly resembles the Eiffel Tower. Although it is much shorter than the Eiffel Tower, it stands atop a sizable hill, Petřín, so the top is actually at a higher altitude than that of the Eiffel Tower. The Petřínská rozhledna was built in 1891 and was used as an observation tower as well as a transmission tower. Today the Petřínská rozhledna is a major tourist attraction. If you go up the hard way, the hill is roughly a half-hour walk up paths that get quite slippery when it snows, and the tower is a shorter but fairly tiring climb; however, the hill is served by a frequent funicular and the tower has an elevator for disabled persons.
There is a gift shop and a small cafeteria on the main level. On the lowest level is a small exhibition area. Current exhibition displays Merkur Observation Towers and is held from March 6, 2013 to March 30, 2014.[1]

One of my fave activities...climbing hills or mountains. We are going up to take the challenge to climb up the 299 steps to the top of the tower on Petrin Hill and climb down them again! The mini Eifell Tower was constructed back in 1890's...299 stairs to climb, about 1 hour of your time and 50 CZK is the price you have to pay in order to get on top at the 60 meters high tower on Petrin Hill in Prague.
we tried to tour the opera House but couldn't...so we bought tickets to the opera instead. It was Die Fledermaus Opera by Johann Strauss II Die Fledermaus is an operetta composed by Johann Strauss II to a German libretto by Karl Haffner and Richard Genée. Wikipedia Written: 1874 Composer: Johann Strauss II Language: German First performance: April 5, 1874 Characters: Prince Orlofsky, Dr Blind, Gabriel von Eisenstein, Dr Falke, Rosalinde, Yvan, Frosch, Frank, Ida, Adele, Alfred.
The museum, next to the Opera House by night in Prague. Today and tonight were a bonus day I gave the girls to save moving and packing for a night. So, we had the wonderful opportunity to go see this show here. Was a bonus from Prague for me anyways! Loved it. Only a few more hours to go now before the trip draws to a formal close and we all head off...so will post a few catch up pics from our Beer Challenge in Munich I'd forgotten about. val and I are staying in Prague for 5 nights to sort out my gear and rest up a bit then we are heading to Hungary on Tuesday morning to go house hunting for a few days. Not coming back empty handed either!
